Arguement Against Marijuana Goes up in Smoke (A)

7 specific things as to why I think It is an A paper
1.) It clearly provides the argument in the thesis and then proceeds to support the argument a quote from President Carter, an authoritative figure in America
2.) The paper provides historical information and background knowledge of marijuana and supports both by citing the World Drug Report
3.) The paper has a consistent flow and transitions well from topic to topic as mentioned at the end of the thesis
4.) The paragraphs aren't lengthy because of short sentence structure which allows the reader to get straight to the point while remembering all the information. The paragraph on marijuana addiction does this very well
5.) The paper is written in a style where it's easy to read and concise for younger readers but is appealing to the same audience of middle aged conservatives that Healy was
6.) The paper is very very specific and it's not vague at all about anything
7.) Very clear logic as well as ethos but has a subtle appeal to our emotions with pathos because of the Good it could do in our society

5 things I could use in my paper
1.) The specificity really helps the paper not only seem logical but credible and authoritative on the subject
2.)The paper flows well together by presenting the flaws of Healy's argument and then rebutting them in the same paragraph
3.) Now that we have learned more about style, I could try to adopt the same short and simple sentence structure
4.) The way the thesis and conclusion tie the paper together into one was very well done and helps the paper be more clear
5.) I would have to keep in mind that when I'm using rhetorical appeals that I remember the audience I'm writing to
